First off, Anyone who hasn't seen the trailer

Now assuming you have actually watched the trailer and aren't just wasting your time, what did you think? Personally I think its going to be pretty damn epic. Its unfortunate that it will only be available on PS3 though as I'm sure it would be an advantage to have it available on XBOX 360 as well, but beggars cannot be choosers.

It will be set in a post-apocalyptic world (the trailer gave it away with the "I am Legend" feel though) with the main characters, Ellie and Joel being your survivors in the game. It has been confirmed that you can only play as Joel with Ellie just being your back-up. (Although what use is a 13 year old girl going to be compared to a grown man in reality anyway) Most people have been infected with some kind of virus (and basically look like they have giant mushrooms growing out of their heads) and you must survive from them as well as other survivors who believe you are infected. I think its good that not everyone was infected by the virus in the game because for one that would be very much like a zombie game just killing everything you saw and that can get tedious, and two having some more survivors makes it a bit more realistic (not that I'm saying a virus will wipe everyone out) And maybe the other survivors will be smart and try and trick you?

It would be good if you had to choose if they were lying and if not, they would team up with you... Although in a post-apocalyptic world would you trust a complete stranger not to kill you when your off guard and take all your stuff? (just an observation...)

I'm guessing there will probably be a lot of scavenging in the game like Dead Island with ammo being a precious resource but that should make the game more challenging. The games graphics look awesome so that should make exploring the world enjoyable as well as kicking humans and those virus monsters ass. The release date has not been confirmed yet but apparently it will be available late 2012 or early 2013.
